Adult Literacy Tutors provide one-to-one tutoring for adults wanting to improve their reading, writing, or math. Volunteer tutors are trained by the KPAL Program Coordinator and necessary resources/supplies for tutoring are provided. The learner and tutor meet in a public location (ex.library) or virtually and decide on a schedule that is convenient for both of them. Tutors require patience, empathy, and a desire to help others learn. Training is provided virtually so access to a computer, tablet or smartphone is needed.
