KCBIA SANTA CLAUS PARADE– Santa’s Elves –  Volunteers will ensure the safety of the crowds and that no one is running on the road before and during the parade.  May be needed to help in Santa’s Workshop as well (from 11 a.m. – 2 p.m.). November 24th.

KCBIA SANTA CLAUS PARADE– Route and Dispersal Marshalls –  Volunteers will direct crowd and ensure people stay off of parade route. Volunteers will also assist with dispersal area of the parade. November 24th.

Current Volunteer Positions:

VOLUNTEER KAMLOOPS -Snow Angel Volunteers needed- We are seeking volunteers for the Snow Angels program in various areas of Kamloops. Must be physically fit and reliable. Please complete our volunteer application online and specify you are interested in Snow Angels or contact our Snow Angels Coordinator at 250-372-8313 or program@volunteerkamloops.org.

KCBIA WELCOME WINTER BLOCK PARTY -Set Up/Tear Down Crew- Volunteers are needed to help with set up and tear down of the WWBP, event assistance, and collect and man survey booth.  Need to be able to lift above head and some volunteers may be asked to climb a ladder. Must be able to communicate with the public.

KAMLOOPS HOSPICE ASSOCIATION -Snow Removal Volunteers needed- Volunteers needed to keep snow off city sidewalks at Hospice location, pathways and entrance area. Shovels and snow blowers provided.

SALVATION ARMY – Bell Ringer- The Salvation Army is looking for volunteers to ring bells at one of the many locations for the Red Kettle Campaign. Shifts are two hours long and volunteers must be timely, friendly, and outgoing.

CANADIAN RED CROSS – Help Technician (18+)- Volunteers will ensure that clients receive equipment that is of the highest standard of safety by inspecting, cleaning, and disinfecting equipment and by making adjustments as required.

OVERLANDER LONG TERM CARE -Gift Shop Volunteer- Sell items in auxiliary gift shop, organize shelves, stock items, assist residents with purchases, give directions to visitors, etc. Volunteers are expected to interact with residents.

OVERLANDER LONG TERM CARE -Plant Care Volunteer- Water and care for resident plants.  Duties include: water and fertilize plants, repot plants as needed, interact and visit with residents, etc.

MS SOCIETY OF KAMLOOPS -Friendly Visiting Volunteer- Volunteers visit with residents to reduce social isolation, provide support and companionship, and improve the quality of life of isolated persons with MS living in long time care.

DIABETES CANADA – Diabetes Information Table Volunteers- Volunteers will sit at the information table at North Hills Mall are needed to talk to people diagnosed with diabetes, give out information and Collect Data.
