KAMLOOPS TRACK AND FIELD CLUB – BC Athletic Championships Volunteers – Volunteers are needed for various duties at the BC Athletic Championships from July 5-7th. Volunteer opportunities include: Triple Jump Pit, Hammer Throw, Track Help, Awards Take, Results Runner, Track hurdles, Pole Vault, Shot-put, Long Jump, High Jump, and more.

Current Volunteer Positions:

CANADIAN MENTAL HEALTH ASSOCIATION – Volunteers Driver – The Volunteer Driver is responsible for picking up and transporting community donations. Must be 18+ to volunteer with a valid driver license and clear criminal record.

KAMLOOPS UNITED CHURCH – Thrift Shop Volunteers (19+)Volunteer will work in the thrift shop. Duties include sorting, pricing, shelving, and cash handling. Seeking volunteers for Saturdays.

SIMPLY THE BEST THRIFT STORE – Display Artist – Volunteers with a keen eye for detail and the ability to be creative with materials for displays at the thrift store. Also, maintenance of retail displays is a part of the position along with occasional work as a cashier and providing customer service.

CANADIAN MENTAL HEALTH ASSOCIATION CLUBHOUSE – Certified Yoga Instructor to hold a 45-min. class twice a month. Must be a certified yoga instructor.

ASK WELLNESS SOCIETY – Shuttle Driver – Volunteers will drive the company minivan. Two shifts available daily. Route is to Lansdowne Mall and North Hills Mall from Mission Flats. Volunteers will transport clients between 9 a.m. and 3:30 p.m.

KAMLOOPS IMMIGRANT SERVICES – Various Volunteers – Volunteers are needed for various duties including cooking instructors, recipe book editor, conversation circle, gardening workshop instructors, indoor and outdoor events assistants, kids activities and program volunteers, mentorship volunteers, yoga instructors, workshop/instructor and guest speakers, workshop and events photographer, and computer mentors.

KAMLOOPS FARMERS MARKET – Setup, Closing, and Info Booth Volunteers – Duties include helping set up the market in the morning and help, tearing down the market, and helping at the info booth.

REPAIR CAFÉ – Fixer and General Help Volunteers- Fixer volunteers will teach clients how to repair items they bring in. Helpers will show people where to go and how to register items.

KAMLOOPS SPECIAL OLYMPICS – Assistant to the Head Coach for Power/Weight Lifting – Volunteers will assist the Power Lifting and Weight Lifting coach in a variety of duties.

KAMLOOPS SPECIAL OLYMPICS – Assistant to the Head Coach for Bocce – Volunteers will assist the Bocce coach in a variety of capacities.

KAMLOOPS SPECIAL OLYMPICS – Assistant to the Head Coach for Softball – Volunteers will assist the head coaches in softball.
