VOLUNTEER KAMLOOPS – Snow Angel Volunteers needed – We are seeking volunteers for the Snow Angels program in various areas of Kamloops. Must be physically fit and reliable. HABITAT FOR HUMANITY RESTORE – Urgently requires volunteers – to help in their retail outlet. Positions include Cashiers/merchandisers, sorting room attendants, warehouse assistants, and swampers (help load and unload trucks).
MS SOCIETY OF KAMLOOPS – Friendly Visiting Volunteer – Volunteers visit with residents to reduce social isolation, provide support and companionship, and improve the quality of life of isolated persons with MS living in long time care.
KAMLOOPS HOSPICE ASSOCIATION - Snow Removal Volunteers needed – Volunteers needed to keep snow off city sidewalks at Hospice location, pathways and entrance area. Shovels and snow blowers provided.
OUT OF THE COLD – Shift Support Volunteers – Volunteers will assist Shift Captains with guests seeking food and shelter on Wednesdays and Sundays.
JOHN HOWARD SOCIETY – Volunteer (19+) – Volunteer help individuals reintegrate from the criminal justice system. There are various positions including peer support, counselling, addictions, nutrition, cooking skills, etc.
DIABETES CANADA – Diabetes Information Table Volunteers – Volunteers will sit at the information table at North Hills Mall and talk to people diagnosed with diabetes, give out information and collect data.
CANADIAN RED CROSS – Help Technician (18+) – Volunteers will ensure that clients receive equipment that is of the highest standard of safety by inspecting, cleaning, and disinfecting equipment and by making adjustments as required.
SALVATION ARMY THRIFT STORE – Urgently requires volunteers – Sort & process donations, price items, assist customers with purchases and participate in various tasks. Streamline donation processing, organization of the store.
CANADIAN MENTAL HEALTH ASSOCIATION CLUBHOUSE – Certified Yoga Instructor – to hold a 45-min. class twice a month. Must be certified.
ADAPTIVE SPORTS AT SUN PEAKS – Volunteer Ski and Snowboard Instructors (15+) – are needed to commit to one weekend day throughout Jan., Feb., and Mar. each snow season at Sun Peaks.
