The Facilitator holds peer led support group meetings every two weeks or twice a month to help support families that have loved ones with substance abuse issues. A loved one is a family member or friend. Moms Stop the Harm offers ongoing support and training but we do request that the facilitator be willing to take the free Provincial Peer Support Working Training (at their own pace and does not need to be completed before starting a group) the link for this is: https://peerconnectbc.ca/courses/peer-support-training/ Facilitators must be willing to learn, have the ability to listen to others, be open and non-judgemental.
