Youth Homelessness is something we cannot ignore.  The problem is, we don’t have the information from our community to push for change. So, we are conducting a survey for youth aged 13-24 during the week of May 8-10th.  We were the first community in Canada to do a Youth Homelessness Count, which is a key recommendation in our plan to end youth homelessness!   This survey will be anonymous and confidential, protecting youths’ privacy, which will encourage them to share their stories.

The survey is being conducted by A Way Home, a group of 140 professionals putting the Kamloops Youth Homelessness Action Plan

On May 10th from 1 p.m. to 7 p.m. 50 to 100 volunteers are needed on the streets of Kamloops to count homeless youth. Areas of Downtown and the North Shore will be mapped out so teams will know where to canvas.
