Kamloops Blazers Volunteer Event Personnel The Kamloops Blazers Volunteers are a group of 75-100 dedicated people that provide door personnel, guest services and ushers for the Kamloops Blazers Hockey Club and many other events held at the Sandman Centre. The Volunteers are an outgoing and energetic group who enjoy interacting with fans and fellow volunteers in a pleasant and respectful manner while helping to enforce the regulations of the building and providing any help that may be needed to the public. On average, there are approximately 70-100 events held at the building – a minimum attendance of 60% is required. Volunteers receive complimentary admission for themselves and a friend to all Kamloops Blazers home games in appreciation for their time and efforts. Events of note which have been held at Sandman Centre in the past include the Memorial Cup Tournament, the Labatt Brier, the World Junior Hockey Championships, World Women’s Hockey Championships, Cirque du Soleil, and concerts by Toby Keith, Nickelback, Billy Talent, and more. The events are typically 4-6 hours long. Volunteers are entitled to a break during this time with coffee, tea, etc. supplied
