PROVINCIAL WINTER FAIR – Event Volunteers – The Provincial Winter Fair is an annual event that celebrates agriculture with a focus on 4-H, youth, and local food production. They need various volunteers for their event.
Current Volunteer Positions:
VOLUNTEER KAMLOOPS – Board of Directors – Join an energetic team that is the backbone of our community. Volunteer Kamloops is looking for board members.
VOLUNTEER KAMLOOPS – Admin. Assistants – An Admin Assistant volunteer is needed to help in our office. Duties includes phone calls, filing, minor cleaning, using a database, and more.
VOLUNTEER KAMLOOPS – Marketing Strategist – A marketing strategist volunteer is needed to help board members come up with a strategy to sell off some mis. Items to raise money. Volunteers must have an affinity towards marketing and relationship with community members is appreciated.
CITY OF KAMLOOPS – BC RCMP Crime Prevention Services Youth Advisory Committee – The BC RCMP Youth Advisory Committee brings together up to 30 youth aged 14-18 from all across B.C. to discuss important issues that they face in their respective communities. The purpose of the BC RCMP Advisory Committee is to represent the youth voice within the RCMP and to gain insight on how to deliver effective youth strategies and initiatives. Applications open until September.
SALVATION ARMY -Family Fun Night Kitchen Helper and Craft-Time Helper to assist on Friday nights from 4:30pm – 6:30pm. Kitchen-food prep, serving the meal, clearing and washing dishes. Craft-engage families and direct the children through a simple craft. 19+ Vulnerable sector police check is required.
BC WILDLIFE PARK – Burrowing Owl Assistant – help clean enclosures feeding & minor maintenance on burrows and perches.
KAMLOOPS THERAPEUTIC RIDING ASSOCIATION 13+ years Stable Hand, Horse Leader, Side walkers. Willing to work in barnyard environment No allergies to Hay and Horses. Horse experience an asset.
BROCKLEHURST GEMSTONE CARE CENTRE – Recreation Program and Garden Club Volunteers – Roles include reading, games, grafts or general garden duties.
OVERLANDER RESIDENTIAL CARE – Trinity Care Volunteer – Assists in short stay 4 bed Community Hospice
ASK WELLNESS SOCIETY- AASH Program Volunteer – Assist with Breakfast prep 7:30-9:15 Mon-Fri, Brunch Prep Sunday 11: -1:00, Meal Plan Wed/Thu/Fri and Sun lunch. Shopping for meals, Clean Kitchen.
DIABETES CANADA – Diabetes Information Table Volunteers – Volunteers will sit at the information table at North Hills Mall are needed to talk to people diagnosed with diabetes, give out information and Collect Data.
