PROVINCIAL WINTER FAIR – Event Volunteers – The Provincial Winter Fair is an annual event that celebrates agriculture with a focus on 4-H, youth, and local food production. They need various volunteers for their event.

Current Volunteer Positions:

CITY OF KAMLOOPS – BC RCMP Crime Prevention Services Youth Advisory Committee – The BC RCMP Youth Advisory Committee brings together up to 30 youth aged 14-18 from all across B.C. to discuss important issues that they face in their respective communities. The purpose of the BC RCMP Advisory Committee is to represent the youth voice within the RCMP and to gain insight on how to deliver effective youth strategies and initiatives.

VOLUNTEER KAMLOOPS – Board of Directors – Join an energetic team that is the backbone of our community. Volunteer Kamloops is looking for board members.

VOLUNTEER KAMLOOPS – Admin. Assistants – An Admin Assistant volunteer is needed to help in our office. Duties includes phone calls, filing, minor cleaning, using a database, and more.

VOLUNTEER KAMLOOPS – Marketing Strategist – A marketing strategist volunteer is needed to help board members come up with a strategy to sell off some mis. Items to raise money. Volunteers must have an affinity towards marketing and relationship with community members is appreciated.

LITERACY IN KAMLOOPS – Tutors Volunteer tutors are needed for a free one-to-one adult literacy program or to assist in an elementary school setting with students that aren’t confident readers.

CANADIAN MENTAL HEALTH ASSOCIATION CLUBHOUSE – Certified Yoga Instructor to hold a 45-min. class twice a month. Must be a certified yoga instructor.

ADAPTIVE SPORTS AT SUN PEAKSVolunteer Ski and Snowboard Instructors (15+) Volunteers are needed to commit to one weekend day throughout Jan., Feb., and Mar. each snow season at Sun Peaks. There are a limited number or season passes that are available to instructors who commit to give 100 hours per season.

MS SOCIETY OF CANADA – MS Ambassador – Volunteer positions include Government Relations and Advocacy, Fund Development, Research and Programs and Services, and Public Awareness. Must be 19+ to volunteer.

KAMLOOPS & DISTRICT CRIME STOPPERS – Various volunteer opportunities – The Kamloops & District Crime Stoppers are looking for a variety of volunteers to sell tickets at the car raffle, be the mascot “Anonymoose” and being member of their board of directors. Must be 19+ to volunteer.

DIABETES CANADA – Diabetes Information Table Volunteers – Volunteers will sit at the information table at North Hills Mall are needed to talk to people diagnosed with diabetes, give out information and collect data.

KAMLOOPS FESTIVAL OF THE PERFORMING ARTS – Publicity Coordinator – The volunteer will utilize the publicity program in place as well as introduce new ideas. The Publicity Coordinator will actively pursue all publicity avenues provided to maximize Kamloops and surrounding area awareness and engagement.
