Special Events / Fundraising:

KAMLOOPS SYMPHONY SOCIETY – Barbs Used Book & Music Sale – Volunteers are needed to help set up for this event on April 24th and 25th.

ALZHEIMER SOCIETY OF BC – Walk for Alzheimer’s Volunteers – Volunteers will assist at the event. Duties include registration team, bleach hosts, 50/50 ticket sellers, hallway hosts, team hosts, registration greeter, and photographers.

MS SOCIETY OF CANADA – MS Walk 2019 – On May 26th the MS Society is holding their annual walk which is their largest fundraiser of the year. Duties include participant check in, volunteer check in, food tent, kids tent, set up, clean up and more.

ARTHRITIS SOCIETY OF B.C. – Walk for Arthritis Committee Members – The Walk for Arthritis is on Saturday, June 1st, 2019. Walk Committee members are needed monthly to plan and organize the event.

MAKE-A-WISH BC & YUKON -Foam Fest 2019 Volunteers – Volunteers are needed for Foam Fest 2019. Volunteers will be stationed at the bag check. There are two shift options 6:30/7 a.m. to 12 p.m. or from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m.

CANADIAN MENTAL HEALTH ASSOCIATION – Ride Don’t Hide Route Set Up – Volunteers will work in partnership with the RDH Manager to assist/plan in route safety and set up on the day of event.

CANADIAN MENTAL HEALTH ASSOCIATION – Ride Don’t Hide Volunteer Coordinator – Volunteers will identify volunteer roles and recruit volunteers accordingly to support the event.

CANADIAN MENTAL HEALTH ASSOCIATION – Ride Don’t Hide Team Coordinator- Volunteers will identify and engage companies, community, and organized groups to register a team and raise donations for the event.

CANADIAN MENTAL HEALTH ASSOCIATION – Ride Don’t Hide Fundraising Coordinator- Volunteers will plan related fundraising events such as the Ride Don’t Hide Pub Night and raffle draw and sales.

CANADIAN MENTAL HEALTH ASSOCIATION – Ride Don’t Hide Entertainment and Family Zone Coordinator- Will organize entertainment and activities during the Ride Don’t Hide event.

 

Current Volunteer Positions:

KAMLOOPS FARMERS MARKET – Setup, Closing, and Info Booth Volunteers – Duties include helping set up the market in the morning and help, tearing down the market, and helping at the info booth.

KAMLOOPS ELIZABETH FRY SOCIETY – Volunteer Legal Services Receptionist – Volunteers will provide a variety of reception and clerical duties for the Legal Services Office.

REPAIR CAFÉ – Fixer and General Help Volunteers- Fixer volunteers will teach clients how to repair items they bring in. Helpers will show people where to go and how to register items.

MS SOCIETY OF CANADA – MS Ambassador – Volunteer positions include Government Relations and Advocacy, Fund Development, Research and Programs and Services, and Public Awareness.

KAMLOOPS & DISTRICT CRIME STOPPERS – Various volunteer opportunities – Volunteers are needed to sell tickets at the car raffle, be the mascot “Anonymoose” and being member of their board of directors.
